Mission San Juan Capistrano


Nickname: Jewel of the Missions- built November 1, 1776, 7th mission.

Impressions
"It was pretty fun, they let you around a lot of places and they had fun activities like Adobe making and gold panning."

Special Attractions
  • Has the original document Lincoln signed to give the missions back to the Catholic Church.
  • The swallows arrive each year on March 19th.
Significant Events
  • Sold to a private family, the Forster's in 1845.
Interesting Facts
  • In 1812 an earthquake crumbled the original mission.
  • 2000 people are buried in the cemetery.
