Nickname: (none) - built March 31st, 1782, 9th mission.

Impressions

"It doesn't really feel like a mission."

Special Attractions

  • Pretty fountain in the courtyard.
  • Only one to use wooden bells.
Significant Events
  • Original roof crumbled in 1857, and was replaced by wooden shingles.
Interesting Facts
  • The cemetery is gone now and a school, Holy Cross, was built on that part of the mission grounds.
  • Water was transported through a 7 mile long aqueduct.
